If I had a hammer

If I had a hammer... a sledgehammer, I'd be taking out walls about now. Or maybe I'd be down in the basement, taking out my hostilities on the inoffensive cement. I am so beyond pissed at the moment. I can barely see straight.

They vandalized my car. All four tires are slashed, which would be expensive enough but easily fixable in a few hours. But they also did something to the engine... I don't even know. I've never been extremely auto-savvy; I know enough to change the fluids.

I wasn't even paying attention to the tires. So it was the noise my car made when I turned the key that told me something was far from right. It was just getting dark and I intended to make a supply run so I could leave at first light today. So much for that. I'm not going anywhere until at least tomorrow. I hope Shady can hold out that long.

I... just don't even know any more. I'm not one of those people who cares about money... not even a little bit. I have no credit cards. I basically have my tax return sitting in the bank, which may or may not cover whatever they did to my car. I don't even have full insurance because it's too expensive.

I want a sledgehammer like the PTC has... even if I don't believe their reports. I want to go walking around town with a supermassive sledgehammer on my shoulder. It would give me great satisfaction to swing it at any one who approached me. I'd probably be arrested...

I was up until three last night. Up until around 1:30 there were all kinds of noises outside the house, knocking, banging, sometimes laughter. I want to believe it was the neighbors entertaining. But chances are, it was someone trying to get me to come out because they can't come in. Nothing is getting in here without my say so... My protections are at least that good. I've been here years now... long enough to ward every window and door several times over. In hindsight, I should have done more than make a charm for my car to prevent accidents and injury. Apparently jackassery was not included through technicality.

Which only makes my fortress of solitude a prison. A safe cage.

Tow truck's here. Forgive any typos. I don't have time or inclination to self-edit.

Damn you.... Cowards all of you. Slenderman... I'm going to rip off your tentacles and garrote you with them.

  1. Back from the mechanic's... This is going to be costly... a lot of technical jargon equals close to $2000. Hope the hospital wasn't counting on being paid any time soon for all they didn't do for me. (Hope Shady has insurance when I get her to the hospital.)

I walked home. Luckily it's been raining all day. So I took my four foot, I-kill-you-dead, "walking" umbrella with me, not that any one came near. I thought I saw some guy trailing me, but it wasn't Wildman, and I could have been mistaken. He turned down a side street when I cut through the park. I didn't see Wildman at all, though there was... I don't know. Could have been a patch of blood under a tree that the rain hadn't washed away. Not a lot, but enough to be noticeable. Maybe Shadow-child finally caught up with him. Maybe he killed and ate a duck.

.... I was actually hoping I would see him. I'm itching for some payback for all Executor has done and all he will do while I'm hung up here. Tomorrow morning... Tomorrow at the latest... I am leaving. Come hell or high water. I will pay my sister to borrow on of their cars if that's what it takes.

  2. It absolutely sucks that we aren’t near each other. I’d give you my car, and I’d definitely be coming with you.

  3. Thank you. There are a lot of people who want to help and that means a lot. I know Shady would appreciate it if she knew and I'm sure she Will appreciate it when she's found.
